Plague could be weaponized

Since at least the 1300’s, armies have used plague as a bioweapon.  After the Mongol Tatars catapulted plague-infested corpses into the besieged city of Caffa (Crimea) in 1346, the ‘Black Death’ (plague caused by Yersinia pestis) has been known as a lethal contaminant.  Many potential biothreats are possible for transmission on board airliners as highlighted in this discussion from the University of Nottingham.  Trana Discovery stands ready to discover novel approaches for treating patients affected by such intentional dispersions of lethal pathogens.
