Plague could be weaponized
Since at least the 1300’s, armies have used plague as a bioweapon. After the Mongol Tatars catapulted plague-infested corpses into the besieged city of Caffa (Crimea) in 1346, the ‘Black Death’ (plague caused by Yersinia pestis) has been known as a lethal contaminant.
