There is confirmed evidence that the latest mutation of the mold Fusarium is present in the Americas.  The multi-resistant strain of this lethal mold to bananas, TR4, has decimated banana crops throughout SE Asia, India, and Africa.  Trana has a plan for the discovery of selective fungicides against TR4.
